Pilates is an excellent way to rehabilitate and recover from a chronic pain or a recurring injury. The Pilates method works the body as a whole, while focusing on balancing the weaknesses. Most injuries are from incorrect body alignment over time that become an injury or a chronic problem. We would suggest you start with privates and get cleared for other class options. But if you know your body, go for it.

No, all the teachers at Grasshopper Pilates work together and have all been trained under a Classical Pilates Certification. You can learn so much from having different teachers.
-
Clothing that’s comfortable and not too loose. Socks are required, you do NOT need shoes. We suggest that if you wear loose shorts, you wear bike shorts underneath.

Reformer classes use spring resistance apparatuses, while Mat classes use your own body weight on a floor mat. The Mat work is much harder because you have noting to help you. Just you and gravity!
